Dugites

Description
The Dugite can grow up and over 2m long and vary in colour from dark brown to bronze and are even black. It has become very common around the suburbs of the perth area due to its primary food source being mice is readily available.

Habitat
The Dugite inhabits coastal shrubland and is found all over the south west pocket of Australia. There are 2 sub-species of the dugite found on 2 different islands 1 of the coast of Esperence this is known as the Recherche Archipelago Dugite and one on Rottnest Island known as the Rottnest Island Dugite

Distribution
This species of snake can be found south of Cervanties and range east to the goldfields and south all the way through to Port Augusta in South Australia.
